1. Introduction

This Data Privacy and Security Policy ("Policy") describes how Localization Fireside Chat ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Robin Ayoub / Localization Fireside Chat, handles information in connection with the Localization Fireside Chat progressive web app and related services available at app.l10nfiresidechat.com (the "App").

The App is a single place where users can watch, listen to, or read content produced by the Localization Fireside Chat (LFC).

Current state: The App does not require user accounts or logins. Anyone can access and use the App without providing personal information. We do not currently collect login credentials or create user profiles.

This Policy is designed to meet common requirements for web apps and to support future distribution on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

2. Information We Collect

We currently do not collect personal information from users of the App.

Specifically:

• No account registration or login is required or offered.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or other identifiers that you actively provide.
• We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or other sensitive device data for user identification.

Automatically collected technical data (if any): Like most websites and web apps, our servers or hosting providers may automatically log limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service. This may include:

• Device type / operating system
• Referring URL
• Date and time of access
• Pages or content accessed

This information is typically used only for security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and aggregate statistics. It is not used to identify individual users and is not combined with other data to create profiles.

Cookies and similar technologies: The App may use essential cookies or local storage required for basic functionality (for example, to remember preferences or maintain session state in a progressive web app). We do not use non-essential tracking cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking at this time.

Third-party content: The App may embed or link to third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube, podcast hosts, or other media players) to deliver video, audio, or related content. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and may collect data according to their practices when you interact with their embedded players or links. We do not control those practices.

3. How We Use Information

Any limited technical data that may be collected is used solely to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its content delivery

Because we do not create user accounts, there is no user profile data to retain or delete.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, the limited technical data we process is generally based on legitimate interests in operating and securing the App.

When the App is distributed via the Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store:

• We will update this Policy and complete the required Data Safety / Privacy Nutrition Label disclosures.
• If we introduce features that collect additional data (e.g., optional accounts, push notifications, analytics SDKs, or in-app purchases), we will clearly disclose those practices, obtain any required consents, and update this Policy before or at the time of the change.
• We will provide an in-app link to this Policy as required by the stores.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page or, where appropriate, notified through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
